Left Heart Catherization

Cardiac catheterization is another modality of imaging that is critical to the management of patients in the cardiac intensive care unit. As we approach patients who have certain coronary lesions both in the cardiac operating room for bypass or complex percutaneous coronary interventions in the cath lab, recognizing, identifying, and understanding the anatomy is crucial to putting together a complete picture of our patients. In this section of the course, I look to help us learn and practice the basics of cath imaging to more completely understand our patient's conditions
